DESCRIPTION:Winter Fly-In Drone Meetup & Obstacle Course Competition\nThe Winter Fly-In Drone Meetup and Obstacle Course Competition is designed to celebrate the rapidly expanding drone industry through thrilling competitions and a strong focus on safety. By bringing together middle and high school students\, adult hobbyists\, and industry professionals\, we create an exciting and educational environment where young innovators can explore the endless possibilities of drone technology. This event fosters community engagement\, inspires creativity\, and helps shape the next generation of drone enthusiasts. \nTest Your Skills & Compete for Trophies\nGet ready to race against the clock on our massive drone obstacle course and put your flying abilities to the test in the NIST lane challenge. Trophies will be awarded in multiple categories for the fastest times in both courses. \nDrone & Safety Requirements\n\nWeight Limit: All drones must be 340 grams or less.\nProp Guards: Required for all drones (various models will be available on-site).\nNo Drone? No Problem! DJI Neo drones will be available for participants who don’t have a drone or whose drone doesn’t meet safety requirements.\nSafety First: We strongly recommend wearing safety glasses while in the fly space. A mandatory safety briefing will be held before the event.\nSecure Viewing Area: A fenced-off section will separate spectators from the flight zone for added safety.\n\nEvent Location & Amenities\n📍 Venue: Tuckahoe Sports Training Complex\, Henrico County\nLocated behind the Tuckahoe Little League baseball fields\, this state-of-the-art indoor facility offers a spacious\, climate-controlled environment with artificial turf flooring and 40-foot ceilings\, making it the perfect setting for our event. \n🍕 Food & Drinks: Pizza and soft drinks will be available for purchase. \nDrone Vendors & Business Opportunities\nWe’re excited to welcome vendors like I Repair MD\, who will showcase their drone repair services.
